St. Joseph’s College of Pharmacy is a unit of the Nirmala Province of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph (Dharmagiri) Aluva. The college is  registered under the Dharmagiri St. Joseph’s Hospital Trust, Muttom,  Cherthala as a Charitable Trust. The congregation of the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph is dedicated to the healing ministry and allied Medical Education aiming the upliftof the suffering humanity and not profit motive.
